Mandolin U. Rajesh is a Carnatic mandolin virtuoso and the torch-bearer of the electric-mandolin tradition pioneered in Indian music by his elder brother, the late child-prodigy legend Mandolin U. Srinivas. He performs the instrument across pure Carnatic classical concerts and global fusion projects.
Younger brother and musical partner of the legendary Mandolin U. Srinivas, U. Rajesh trained alongside him and performed with him for years, and after his brother's passing in 2014 has carried forward the Carnatic mandolin tradition as a soloist.
