Sanjeeta Bhattacharya is an Indian singer-songwriter, composer and actor from New Delhi, and a graduate of Boston's Berklee College of Music. Trained from childhood in Hindustani classical music and Kathak, she weaves folk, jazz, soul, R&B and Latin influences with multilingual lyrics into stories drawn from her journeys and experiences.
Born into an artistic Delhi family (her father is the painter Sanjay Bhattacharya), Sanjeeta Bhattacharya trained in Hindustani classical music and Kathak before studying performance at Berklee, where she took part in a landmark 2014 tribute to A.R. Rahman. Returning to India in 2016, she quickly became a regular on the indie circuit, released a run of singles, and had her track Everything's Fine? selected for Spotify's global emerging-artist programme RADAR in 2020. She has performed at festivals including the Panama Jazz Festival, Hornbill and NH7 Weekender, and has also acted, including in the film Jawan (2023).
