About

Thaikkudam Bridge is a multi-genre Indian band from Kochi, Kerala, formed in 2013 and known for fusing Kerala's folk and traditional music with rock, blues, funk and other contemporary styles. Built around a large, versatile line-up including violin, multiple vocalists, guitars and drums, the band rose to prominence through viral performances and its debut album Navarasam, singing in Malayalam, Tamil, Hindi and English. It has become one of the most popular independent live acts in the country, bringing Kerala's musical heritage to national and international audiences.

Conceived in 2013 by cousins Govind Vasantha and Siddharth Menon, Thaikkudam Bridge came together for the Malayalam television show Music Mojo and shot to fame with their original Fish Rock, which went viral. Their debut album Navarasam (2015) and its follow-up Namah (2019), the latter featuring guests from Vishwa Mohan Bhatt to Lamb of God's Chris Adler, cemented their reputation as India's fusion kings. By 2024 the band had played over 600 shows across 25 countries, making them one of the most successful and widely followed Indian bands of their generation.

The artistry

Thaikkudam Bridge is built around a large, versatile line-up (violin, multiple vocalists, guitars, keys and drums) that lets the band move fluidly between coastal Kerala folk, driving rock and heavy metal, often within a single song. Their debut Navarasam wove traditional Kerala temple-percussion instruments, chenda, kombu and elathalam, into a modern rock soundscape, and their live shows, energetic, multilingual and instrument-rich, have made them one of India's biggest contemporary live draws.

⬩ Atlas Perspective

[Atlas Perspective] Thaikkudam Bridge is one of the strongest live draws in contemporary Indian music and a powerful ambassador for Kerala's musical heritage in a modern idiom. For festivals and large events seeking energy, scale and a young, devoted following, they are a top-tier booking.

Thaikkudam Bridge has brought Kerala's folk and temple-music heritage to national and international audiences through a modern rock and metal idiom, and has become one of the most successful independent bands in India. Their multilingual, genre-fluid approach has widened the space for regional-language fusion music in the mainstream.
