Neyveli Santhanagopalan is a distinguished Carnatic vocalist and teacher, awarded the Madras Music Academy's Sangeetha Kalanidhi for 2020. He is known for his traditional, purist style of rendering ragas, compositions and swaras, and for his rigorous manodharma.
Born in 1963, Neyveli Santhanagopalan learned from masters including Thanjavur Sankara Iyer, Maharajapuram Santhanam and T. N. Seshagopalan, and distinguished himself with concerts worldwide and numerous awards. He anchored a television music programme, teaches many students alongside his daughter, the vocalist Sriranjani Santhanagopalan, and received the Sangeetha Kalanidhi in 2020.

Santhanagopalan's music is distinguished by strict raga interpretation, rigorous manodharma and raga sancharams that bring out the essential qualities of each raga, and by a deep respect for tradition reflected even in his orthodox concert presentation.
