Kumar Vishwas is one of India's most popular contemporary Hindi poets, a doctorate-holding kavi celebrated for romantic and evocative verse and for charismatic recitations at kavi sammelans across India and abroad. His poems, including the beloved Koi Deewana Kehta Hai, have made him a household name.
Born in 1970 in Uttar Pradesh, Kumar Vishwas earned a PhD in Hindi literature and taught before rising to fame as a kavi, performing at hundreds of colleges and events across India and in the USA, Dubai, Singapore, Japan and beyond. His books include Koi Deewana Kehta Hai and Hothon Par Ganga Ho, and he has received a certificate of recognition from the California State Assembly, among other honours, while also engaging in public life.
