Pandit Vidyadhar Vyas is a veteran Hindustani classical vocalist of the Gwalior gharana and a contemporary exponent of the Paluskar style, as well as a scholar and teacher. Honoured with the Tansen Samman, he has served the classical arts across performance, education and administration.
Born in 1944 to Gayanacharya Pandit Narayanrao Vyas, a disciple of Vishnu Digambar Paluskar, Vidyadhar Vyas was trained by his father and rose as a Gwalior gharana vocalist active from 1965. He holds a doctorate in Hindustani vocal music, has served in academic and administrative roles in music education, and received the Tansen Samman in 2019, remaining a respected elder of the tradition.

Trained by his father in the khayal, tarana and bhajan gayaki of the Gwalior gharana, Vidyadhar Vyas sings in the clear, structured Paluskar style, valuing purity of raga and disciplined presentation.
