Shishir Parkhie is an Indian ghazal singer and composer from Nagpur, Maharashtra, widely acclaimed for a sensitive, expressive voice and twice nominated for the Global Indian Music Academy Awards in the Best Ghazal Album category. He has released numerous ghazal and devotional albums and performed across India and internationally.
Born in 1967 into a music-loving family, Shishir Parkhie learned music from an early age under his mother, a Sugam Sangeet artist with All India Radio, and trained in tabla, giving his first solo ghazal concert at fifteen. Active since 1989, he has released albums including Siyahat, Rumaniyat, Once More Ghazals and Ahteraam on labels such as Saregama, T-Series and Times Music, earned two GIMA nominations, and performed to appreciation across the Gulf, Israel, Kenya and beyond.
