The youngest son of the Dhrupad exponent Pandit Chaturbhuj Rathod of the Aditya Gharana of Jamnagar, he brings a deep classical grounding to a wide-ranging popular and semi-classical repertoire.
Born into a musical family, Roopkumar Rathod is the brother of playback singer Vinod Rathod and the late composer Shravan Rathod, and is married to ghazal singer Sunali Rathod.
