Parvaaz is an Indian rock band formed in Bengaluru in 2010, known for a soaring, atmospheric sound that fuses progressive and psychedelic rock with Kashmiri and Urdu lyrics and the imagery of Sufi and mystic poetry. Formed in Bengaluru in 2010 by Khalid Ahamed and Kashif Iqbal, Parvaaz released the single Dil Khush (2011) and the EP Behosh (2012) before their debut album Baran (2014), which won wide critical acclaim for its fusion of Kashmiri and Urdu poetry with progressive rock.
