The Niyazi Brothers are a Delhi-based qawwali ensemble originally from Hapur, Uttar Pradesh, belonging to the Hapur Gharana - a traditional qawwal lineage of several centuries once patronised by the Mughal court. They perform regularly at the Hazrat Nizamuddin Dargah, the nerve-centre of Sufi qawwali in India, and at venues across Delhi, singing in Urdu and Hindi and carrying forward both the Astana (shrine) tradition and a modern qawwali style.
