Nirmal Udhas is an Indian ghazal singer, the second of the three Udhas brothers alongside Manhar and the late Pankaj Udhas. Hailing from a modest background in Gujarat, he has sung ghazals and Gujarati songs across a long career and remains a recognised name in the ghazal world.
Born in 1944 in Jetpur, Gujarat, to Keshubhai and Jituben Udhas, Nirmal Udhas was part of the musical family that produced his brothers Manhar and Pankaj Udhas, performing early on with them, and built his own body of ghazal and Gujarati recordings, featuring on platforms including BBC Radio.
