M. Sayeed Alam is a playwright, director and actor, and the founder of Pierrot's Troupe, an internationally known Delhi theatre group formed in 1989. He has written and directed all of the troupe's original plays in Hindi, Urdu and English, and acts in most of them, in a body of work that has run to more than two thousand shows.
