Apurva Gokhale and Pallavi Joshi are a Hindustani classical vocal sister-duo, granddaughters of the eminent Gwalior violinist and vocalist Pandit Gajananrao Joshi. Trained in the Gwalior-Agra-Jaipur traditions, they perform khayal together, continuing a rich family gayaki into the twenty-first century.
Apurva Gokhale and Pallavi Joshi are granddaughters of Pandit Gajananrao Joshi, the Gwalior violin and vocal maestro, and inheritors of the Joshi family's musical tradition that began with Pandit Antubuwa Joshi in the late nineteenth century. Apurva trained under Manohar Joshi, Pandit Ulhas Kashalkar and Pandit Shankar Abhyankar. The duo has performed at prestigious platforms including the Sawai Gandharva Bhimsen Mahotsav, sustaining their family gayaki as a vocal pair.

Singing as a synchronised pair, the sisters bring strong laykari, or rhythmic play, and the structural discipline of the Gwalior style to their khayal, choosing jod bandishes and bada khayals in the Gwalior manner. Their rigorous talim in the Gwalior-Agra-Jaipur traditions gives their duet singing near-perfect synchronisation and professional command.
