The Story
OrganizerFounded as part of the Roerichs' Urusvati Himalayan Research Institute in the 1920s, the museum grew around Nicholas Roerich's fascination with the art and culture of the Himalayas. Set on the Roerich estate at Naggar, it became a centre for the study and display of Himalayan folk art and the Roerich legacy.
