The Story
OrganizerOpened in 2010, the museum was developed by the Salesian order, long active in education across Northeast India, to document and celebrate the region's indigenous heritage. Its purpose-built multi-storey building and extensive galleries made it a leading centre for the presentation of the cultures of the seven states of the Northeast.
The Don Bosco Museum is a major centre for the documentation and celebration of the indigenous cultures of Northeast India, giving a diverse and often under-represented region a comprehensive cultural showcase.
