The Story
OrganizerDGTL launched in Amsterdam in 2013 as a festival that combined cutting-edge electronic music with a genuine commitment to circular economy principles: zero-waste operations, plant-based food, renewable energy, and sustainability education integrated into the festival experience. The India edition, which began in 2019, brought this model to a country where the electronic music scene had grown rapidly but large-scale sustainable festival practice was almost non-existent. The India edition's Bengaluru-Mumbai back-to-back format reflects the geography of India's electronic music audience. The 5th edition in 2025 (Bengaluru Oct 3-4, Mumbai Oct 4-5) featured Anfisa Letyago, Helena Hauff, Yotto, and Dosem alongside Indian talent. The 6th edition in 2026 is anticipated in the same October window.
DGTL India is the most credible international electronic music brand in the Indian market, bringing a combination of curatorial quality, sustainability credentials, and international headliner access that domestic EDM festivals struggle to match. Its circular economy model is also a meaningful contribution to India's festival industry sustainability discourse.
The most credible international electronic music brand in India, combining world-class techno and house programming with genuine circular economy sustainability credentials, across India's two largest electronic music markets.
