Quasar Thakore Padamsee is a Mumbai theatre director and producer, the founder of the theatre company QTP and a driving force behind Thespo, the youth theatre movement. Son of the advertising and theatre legend Alyque Padamsee and the actor Dolly Thakore, he is a central figure in contemporary English-language Indian theatre.
Quasar Thakore Padamsee founded QTP and took a leading role in Thespo, the annual festival and movement nurturing theatre-makers under twenty-five. Building on his family's theatre legacy, he has directed and produced a body of contemporary work and become a key organiser and mentor in Mumbai's English-language theatre ecosystem.

Padamsee directs and produces contemporary, often socially engaged theatre, and, through Thespo, has built one of the country's most important platforms for young theatre-makers. His work combines production nous with a commitment to new voices and issue-based drama.
