The Korean Cultural Centre India (KCCI) is the press and cultural department of the Embassy of the Republic of Korea, based in Lajpat Nagar in New Delhi. Aiming to build a cultural bridge between the two countries, it collaborates with Korean and Indian artists to host exhibitions, theatre and dance performances, film and animation screenings and K-pop contests, and offers a public library, cafe, Korean-language courses affiliated to the King Sejong Institute, and taekwondo classes. It has become a leading hub for Korea-India cultural exchange and the growing enthusiasm for Korean culture in India.
Opened in New Delhi in 2011, the Korean Cultural Centre India grew alongside the deepening cultural and economic ties between Korea and India and the rising popularity of Korean film, music and language in the country. Through festivals such as Rang De Korea and K-Harmony Festa, exhibitions pairing Korean and Indian artists, language and martial-arts courses, and celebrations that bring together Korean and Indian festivals, it has built one of the most active foreign-cultural-centre programmes in India.
